I am a contemporary artist-painter based on a small Scottish island in the Atlantic Ocean.

Despite growing up in land in the French countryside, I have always been drawn to the sea, which has become my playground and source of inspiration.

When covid happened, I embarked on my creative journey by turning to the sea as a means to channel and process my emotions. My paintings are emotional seascapes born from a profound connection to the sea. As a self-taught artist, I don’t do rules and simply follow a raw instinct, allowing light, texture, and movement to guide my hand. I work primarily in acrylics, using the fluidity of the medium to echo the ever-changing power and rhythm of the sea.

Rather than painting what I see, I paint what I feel. The ocean is both my inspiration and a mirror, its depths reflecting the constant shifting tides of my own emotions. Each piece becomes a conversation between one’s inner and outer worls, inviting viewers to interpret the work through the lens of their own experiences.

I work with the canvas flat on the floor, a practice that allows me to move freely around the piece, engaging it from every angle. This physical intimacy with the work lets me pour myself literally and emotionally into the process while literally becoming a part of the artwork itself.

My paintings reflect my emotions, my fragility, and the deep bond I share with the ocean, its own fragility echoing mine, and my commitment to protect it.
